Dr.Davidyan, tell us what influenced you when choosing a profession? When choosing a profession, we are guided by childhood impressions, conversations, life situations that have had a significant influence on us. In this sense, my choice was absolutely obvious. Medicine is, as they say, in my blood. I simply could not imagine what I would do if I became a firefighter, a policeman or a miner. My mother, father and family as a whole had a huge influence on this. So medicine was and remains the most popular and desired profession for me. Yes, I had to change a lot in it, disagree with the generally accepted opinion, openly protest, but I was and continue to be ready for this. Otherwise, there can be no development. And stagnation is a dangerous path. And in medicine even more so... After completing your studies, how did your professional path develop? I encountered difficulties immediately after graduating from the institute. When you graduate with honors, you know and, most importantly, know how to treat, but you encounter absolute indifference from your “senior comrades”, this makes you forget about comfort and go to a place where your knowledge and skills will be needed. You think so... And you are wrong, which means a new road, moves, conflicts... There was a lot on this path. But the main thing is to keep that core inside, for which everything was started. It will become the measure and mark that will be with you for life. I always knew, felt what dentistry should be like. What were the main goals that you set when opening your own clinic "Avroraclinic"? The realization that something special was needed arose when it became clear that it was impossible to realize ourselves within the framework of the existing private practice medicine. We had outgrown it, we were cramped. Fortunately, my family supported me. I was able to focus on the medical part, and many organizational issues fell to my sister Liana. Actually, even now, almost 20 years later, I am isolated from the need to solve them, which allows me to focus on scientific, teaching and clinical activities. I am probably the only practitioner who received the title of honorary professor of the Medical University. I like everything I do. Because if it were not for the need to share our own experience, we would not have made all those amazing discoveries in dentistry. What achievements of the clinic are you proud of? Of course, it is not easy to answer such questions. Because everything we do, everything we live is worthy of pride. The problems we have to face, as a rule, have two components. In one case, for a number of reasons, the patient did not have time. He or she worked hard, raised children, were afraid or did not believe in the effectiveness of such treatment and approached the age of forty in not the best shape and condition. Another category began to take care of themselves on time, but a little later than the first group realized that something was not as they would like. In many ways, this is explained by primitive, home-grown methods that were popular ten to twenty years ago. Currently, you can achieve a young and fresh appearance and a natural smile through minimally invasive and long-lasting procedures in order to be in spiritual harmony with your age. As with any serious treatment, monitoring and support are the most important components of success. And, of course, the effect of the procedures will be much higher and more effective. In this case, we are talking about periodic observations once every six months, and after two years, you can switch to an annual examination. It is this approach that ensures the continuity and stability of the impeccable result obtained. The introduction of such a truly comprehensive approach to treatment is both a source of pride for us and a guarantee of the success of treatment. How do you cope with difficult situations in life and at work? As my parents taught me. Or rather, they didn't teach me, but showed me by their own example. The main thing is not to dramatize. After all, any situation that happens in life is a situation that we must live through with honor, so as not to repeat such mistakes again. I like everything I do. Because if it weren't for the need to share our own experience, we would not have made all those amazing discoveries in dentistry. |
Tell us about the main myths in dentistry. The myth about white teeth. Teeth should be "white"... But have mercy, they are not snow-white. It is a complex optical system, in which the light shade of teeth or veneers is achieved through the skillful work of the doctor and technician. About obligatory pain! Oh, how wrong you are, thinking that dentistry is obligatory pain and a doctor is the one who, with a sadistic expression on his face, says: "Just be patient" About caries! Caries is not an obligatory disease at all! We can say with special pride that in the 21st century, with the development of prevention, periodic hygiene procedures and proper care, our young patients do not have caries! About the limited period of prosthetics... You have probably heard that crowns or "bridges" had to be removed after 8-10 years, and even with supporting teeth... You have heard! But not from our patients. Modern principles of non-invasive prosthetics, developed and applied by us, exclude such a development of events. What are the main trends and dental "novelties" now? Digital dentistry! This is no longer the future - it is happening today! A patient comes to the clinic and we plan to install implants, make highly aesthetic crowns on the next visit and the patient can live a normal life the next day. It really sounds fantastic, but it exists, it works. New trends in dentistry appear regularly. The industry is actively and confidently developing. But in pursuit of new products, some manufacturers and doctors forget the fundamental principles of modern dentistry. Rationality, minimally invasiveness, maximum preservation of biological tissues, long-term treatment prognosis. A number of "new products" turned out to be dangerous and could not lead to the main task - to simultaneously improve the aesthetics of a smile and the health of teeth. For example, some time ago, "zirconium veneers" became super popular. Most likely, only due to the name, because not a single scientific publication was published on the advantages of this technology. Some doctors, and not only doctors, began to exploit this fashion. But from the very beginning, we understood and declared the fallacy of such technology. It was not easy to convince patients that we do not make "zirconium veneers", and we also strongly do not recommend it. Because this requires grinding down the tooth twice as much and the most dangerous thing is that the adhesion force of the zirconium to the tooth is insufficient and such veneers will fly off in the very near future. On the other hand, there are "fashionable" things that we not only support, but also offer. We can say that we are trendsetters in dentistry. For example, 15 years ago we proposed and popularized the technique of gum extension with root exposure. Now it is widely used and practice has proven its absolute effectiveness. |
There is no smile without a face! First of all, you need to understand for yourself what you need. The help of which specialist? It is pointless to start a conversation with a dentist if your facial contour is "not the same as it used to be", and at the same time schedule visits to a cosmetologist if you have wrinkled skin and no chewing teeth. Therefore, in our case, this is a joint consultation with a qualified dentist and cosmetologist, when doctors jointly choose a treatment strategy. This measure, among other things, also reduces the treatment time and potentially improves the result. A beautiful and confident smile on a youthful face has long been an object of desire and expectation. Such luxury - to smile, to feel energetic, can be allowed only with the participation and care of ultra-modern methods and qualified specialists. Thus, joint and coordinated work ultimately gives a result that increases exponentially. It is the results of joint work that have become the basis that allowed both specialties - cosmetology and dentistry - to "reach" a new, unknown level. After all, only by assessing the patient's status, i.e. how he looks now, can we develop ways to improve. Therefore, assessing the existing status, namely problems, is the most important link and determines the treatment plan and supporting procedures. In this case, the participation of two "bright minds" is important. The dentist and cosmetologist jointly assess the case and the potential for its change, and also develop measures for its improvement and prognosis. 5 rules and recommendations from Avroraclinic for maintaining healthy teeth Very simple! 1. Limit sweets, taffy, toffee. In addition to the general negative impact, this significantly spoils your teeth 2. See a doctor. But not just any doctor, but a competent and dedicated professional! 3. Visit a doctor regularly for prevention and timely detection of caries or periodontitis 4. Losing even one tooth is a serious blow. Do not trust a doctor who reassured you and did not offer an adequate replacement. The exception is wisdom teeth, which in most cases are recommended to be removed. 5. Take care of your smile! After all, it is a gift from above and we only make it a little better ... |
